JAYNE WRIGHT

Jayne Wright is a West Yorkshire born musician and artist now based in Margate, Kent. 

Wright has a BA hons in Creatives Arts and PGCEs in teaching D&T and music and managing secondary education. 

Since moving to Margate in 2021 she has been exploring her ceramic practice. Projects include The Mermaid Army (sculptures, plaques and tiles), Thanet Tiles of Joy (a community ceramic project with over 1000 local participants), Water Features, Tulip Vases and Reusables. Her work is steeped in narrative and she likes to explore positivity and joy. 

Wright has exhibited at Lido Gallery, Turner Contemporary, Bridlington Art Waves Festival, Weston Super Mare Good Grief Festival, Open Folke Art 2024 and Art Car Boot Fair. 

In 2024 she founded JAW Ceramics CIC to further the community art projects.
