Langley currently has a focus on painterly interpretations of craft and visual languages from the natural and human environment.

The work is grounded in the motifs of nests, serving as a metaphor for place, home, and travel, while Langley’s sculpted impasto technique lends permanence to these fleeting, transitional structures. The minimalist approach to material handling, paired with expressive mark-making, fosters a dialogue between abstraction and representation, transforming nests from simple shelters into symbols of self-comfort and the transformative journey from house to home.
