DANA FOX

Dana Fox is a Margate-based digital 3D artist and animator. His influences range from the photography of Gregory Crewdson and the more terrifying aspects of 1970s British sci-fi, to haunted moorland, UFO sightings and deconstructivism.

Fox has a background in costume design, where he designed and produced headpieces and wearable art, working out of a studio in the south west. After working on several shows, he began producing performance events around London, before becoming enamoured with the unrestricted possibilities of the digital world.

Between commissioned projects, ranging from concept art and animated music videos, Fox is currently immersed in dyzlocation, an alternate-reality game set in the subterranean, semi-fictitious chasms deep underneath Thanet.

Combining his interests in history, archaeology, ancient civilisations and Sapphire and Steel, he uses his animation experience to create a multidisciplinary immersive narrative.

He can often be found browsing antique fairs, secondhand bookshops and wine lists.
