Alice Herrick is a London born artist and curator with a 1st Class Fine Art BA from Kingston University and an MA in Painting from Chelsea College of Art. Alongside her own practice and freelance curating, Alice was founding director of Herrick Gallery in Shoreditch and Mayfair 2012-19. She moved from London to Margate in 2023 and played a key role in launching Turps Margate in 2025 as the mentoring programme’s coordinator. Alice has a studio in central Margate and is working on curation projects with Turps Margate alumni, Contemporary Kent Artists and with local and international artists for an upcoming group show at Liminal Gallery.
Alice’s practice embodies physical and psychological relational dynamics through drawing, painting, sculpture, conversation and movement. Her work has been shown and collected internationally and across the UK.
