From June 2026 – April 2027, Liminal Gallery will enter a new chapter as Founding Director Louise Fitzjohn takes maternity leave. During this time, the gallery programme will continue through The Maternity Series — a series of exhibitions led by Liminal artists and their invited collaborators.

Developed as a temporary shift in format, the series offers artists within the gallery’s network the opportunity to take on the space through solo and group exhibitions, creating a more collaborative and artist-led programme while continuing the spirit of Liminal Gallery.

The Maternity Series reflects the community that has grown around the gallery over the past few years,

and opens the space to new conversations, collaborations and approaches during this period of transition.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Liminal Gallery so far — for the kindness, encouragement, and everything in between. I hope you’ll continue to support our brilliant artists as they take over the gallery with a series of exciting and unique exhibitions.
